Eye opener for May 23, 2024: Can the U.S. bully it's way out?

I may or may not know how to get America's economy out it's downward spiral, but I do know that chasing countries away from your currency of reserve is NOT the way to do it.

Actually, I do, or believe that I do know how to slow, if not stop, if not reverse America's current economic slide into oblivion. I also know that banning trade with more and more countries sounds about as bad of economic advise as one could be given or follow. I guess on a microeconomics scale, this would be like a retail store telling its customers that it will only sale to family and friends and then blocking to most family and friends.

Recently, the Biden administration announced more tariffs on Chinese goods like electric vehicles. This increase up to 100% is supposed to protect American EV manufacturers, but does it really do that? If Americans have no money to buy a cheaper Chinese EV, how can they afford to buy a more expensive American EV that is artificially made cheaper through tariffs? Perhaps a better solution would be to create more consumers with more money by raising the minimum wage to a living wage and collecting all of the taxes that the rich have been allowed to loophole their way out of for decades. Or, why not print enough money to pay off every American's debt and have a debt jubilee? America has been printing its own money for a long time, why couldn't it print enough to pay off its $35 trillion in debt? Let's get back to numbers that aren't abstracts to most.

As I said above, I do have ideas as to how to fix the American economy and I share them my book. The problem is that Americans no longer have the will necessary to get the jackasses in Washington DC out and get some leaders who can wrest control back from the oligarchs who run out current system.

In 2018, I wrote a book highlighting the problems Humanity would face if more power, wealth, and control was funneled to a small group of elite individuals, groups, or organizations. In my book, I provided solutions (from myself and others) to the inevitable problems and also a means for the Public to analyze, compare, and contrast the words and deeds of those we choose to follow against reality. In my book Solutions: Enough complaining. Let's fix America.

In "Solutions...", I provide the means for readers to disseminate information as provided by their news sources of choice, their elected officials, and any other authority they choose to follow. The book also offers a means to hold their leaders up, not just to a higher standard than is currently accepted but to one that would improve their lives and the lives of those for whom they care.
